Total Randomness

Recently, I have been reading a book, titled “The Turkish Lover”. I had come across a passage (P.128) whereby I could truly visualize the picture which the author was trying to deliver.

“When I woke up the next morning, I remembered something that had happened a few years earlier. I had left home for school later than usual, and ran to catch the train. It was rattling in as I reached the bottom step of the elevated station. I pushed through the crowd running up the stairs, but the doors clanged shut just as I reached the platform. I was furious with myself for having left the house late, for not having run fast enough, for missing the train seconds before it pulled away. Cursing under my breath, I imagined this as the beginning of a terrible day of missed connections and frustrations. I stalked to the end of the station, annoyed, looking back every few seconds, willing the next train to rumble down the tracks so that I could climb on and get to school on time. As I reached the end of the platform, the headlamps of a train emerging from the tunnel shone from the opposite direction. Another train will come. I heard the words as if someone had said them aloud, and realized I had said them. Another train will come. Why rush? Why worry? Why go crazy? Another train will come. And sure enough, another train going my way was pulling into the station. My bad mood evaporated. I entered the car smiling; certain that there would be more missed trains in my life, more closed doors in my face, but there would always be another train rumbling down the tracks in my direction.”

How true isn’t it? I believed the above scenario is so common in everybody life? Don’t you find yourself in this situation at least first in your life time? Nevertheless, the author teach us a important lesson: “there would be more missed trains in my life, more closed doors in my face, but there would always be another train rumbling down the tracks in my direction.” So, let’s not be disappointed or angry with things that do not turn out right for us. As opportunities will come into your path once again.
