What comes to your mind when I said "With the end in mind?" Does it sound like some ultimate goals kind of thing? Or at least something along that line? Well, when I first thought of this heading, there are 2 things that came across my mind.
First of all, we must always have the end in mind in everything we do. This is to prevent us from losing our focus and in order to achieve what we want or long for we need to be focus and not lose sight. Agree? Ok, you must first agree with this statement before we can proceed on further.
So I presumed that you have agreed with that.
Let's move on:
Remember there are 2 things in mind which I have yet to share?
1st issue - a relationship: as adults around me are questioning/interrogating me about such issue which start me pondering. Well, many times I wondered how many couples out there entered into a relationship with an end in mind or just because of loneliness or worst just based on some superficial external factors? People may commented that, "come on lah, is just a girlfriend/boyfriend (gf/bf), no need to be so particular, not as if she/he is going to be your spouse." But wait a minute, aren't your current gf/bf is going to be your potential future spouse? Or to you it may just seem like a fling.
At least in my own opinion, I would much appreciate that people take relationship seriously. What do I mean exactly? For example, when one come across somebody whom she/he is interested in, before popping the question (not proposal but mere r/s), please make sure that this particular person is one who you would like to spend the rest of your life together. (i.e. to marry that person) This is what I mean "with an end in mind". The "end" means walking down the aisle together. It may sound like a big joke or intimidating to some people out there but hey is so important to preserve yourself for the one & only.
We should not just jump into an r/s just because of mutual affections. We should consider more factors than that. You may think that I am conservative or not liberal in thinking but this is something that I believe in. Never based on impulsiveness instead be patient and wait. =) I believe good things worth waiting for ya!
2nd issue - general pursuits: With an end in mind right, it can actually be a boost or at least a form of motivation for everyone to go further and stretch their limits in achieving their goals. It served as a catalyst in the process of pursuing your goals. We cannot do things w/o a purpose in mind. If that is the case right, you are merely wasting your time in doing all the things that you are doing right now.
Well, as for me, I do not have a habit of listing out my goals but I will often TRY to do everything with an end in mind. At least, I am starting to cultivate this kind of "with an end in mind" mentality.
Personally, I feel that with this kind of mentality, I approach things with more meanings and not just vain expectations.
